Pohjoismaiden kuljetustyöntekijöitä edustava NTF tukee If Metallin taistelua työehtosopimuksesta Teslan työntekijöille

IF Metall on neuvotellut Teslan kanssa pitkään. Yritys on kuitenkin kieltäytynyt tekemästä työntekijöilleen työehtosopimusta, mikä on vastaan kaikkia ruotsalaisten työmarkkinoiden periaatteita. IF Metallin oli väistämättä aloitettava lakko.

- Epäreilu kilpailu ei tuo mitään muuta kuin vahinkoa ja heikentää työolosuhteita. Pohjoismainen malli on perustunut työmarkkinaosapuolien molemminpuoliseen kunnoitukseen ja siihen, että samat säännöt koskevat kaikkia - myös amerikkalaisia multimiljonäärejä. On aika, että Tesla näyttäisi kunnoitusta työntekijöilleen ja allekirjoittaisi työehtosopimuksen, NTF:n puheenjohtaja Ismo Kokko sanoo.

Työehtosopimukset ovat pohjoismaisten työmarkkinamallien perusta. Tämä tarkoittaa että ammattiliitot ja työnantajajärjestöt määrittelevät pelisäännöt työmarkkinoilla. Konflikti koskettaa koko Ruotsin työmarkkinoita ja useat ruotsalaiset ammattiliitot ovat kertoneet myötätuntotoimista IF Metallille.

Ruotsin kuljetustyöntekijöiden liitto Transport on kertonut omina myötätuntotoiminaan Teslan saarrosta neljässä satamassa 7. marraskuuta alkaen ja kaikissa Ruotsin satamissa 17. marraskuuta alkaen.

- Olemme laajentamassa toimia. Teslan autot tullaan pysäyttämään Ruotsin satamissa kokonaan. Olemme saaneet viestejä, että Teslan autoja on ohjattu muihin Ruotsin satamiin ja olemme nyt sulkemassa ne reitit kokonaan. Tietenkin, meillä on myös jatkosuunnitelmia, joilla haluamme saada Teslan allekirjoittamaan työehtosopimukset, Transportin puheenjohtaja Tommy Wreeth kertoo.

Ruotsin työntekijäliitoista myös Service and Communication Seko, Union of Civil Servants ST ovat kertoneet myötätuntotoimista. Niihin kuuluu lähetysten jakelun, kuljetuksen ja keräämisen pysättäminen lähetysten, kirjeiden, pakettien ja lavojen osalta Teslan korjaamoilla Ruotsissa. Tämä tarkoittaa, että esimerkiksi varaosia ja komponentteja ei toimiteta. Toimet alkavat 20. marraskuuta.

NTF:n hallitus tukee IF Metallia ja rohkaisee kaikkia jäsenliittojaan osoittamaan solidaarisuutta lakkoilijoille.

The NTF stands by the Swedish IF Metall in their fight for a collective agreement with Tesla

The Nordic Transport Workers’ Federation NTF representing 40 Nordic transport workers’ unions and 340.000 transport workers lends all its support to Swedish IF Metall striking for a collective agreement for Tesla workers in Sweden.

IF Metall has been negotiating with Tesla for a long time. Unfortunately, they have declined to sign a collective agreement, thereby violating fundamental principles of the Swedish labour market. IF Metall was forced to start a strike.

- Unfair competition brings nothing but damage and precarious working conditions. The Nordic model is based on mutual respect and the same rules apply to all, even American multimillionaires. It is time for Tesla to show respect to their workers and to sign a collective agreement, says NTF’s President Ismo Kokko.

Collective agreements are the basis of the Nordic labour market model. This means that the trade unions and the employers' organisations determine the rules of the game in the labour market. The conflict is about a basis for the whole labour market and several Swedish unions have announced sympathy actions to support IF Metall.

The Swedish Transport Workers’ Union has announced a blockade in four Swedish ports from 7 November and in all Swedish ports from the 17 November onward.

- Now we are escalating the conflict. There will be a total stop for Tesla cars in all Swedish ports. We have received signals that Tesla cars are planned for other Swedish ports, and we are now completely closing that possibility. Of course, we have further plans, for countermeasures to get Tesla to sign collective agreements," says Tommy Wreeth, Transport's President.

The Swedish Service and Communication union Seko and the Union of Civil Servants ST has also announced sympathy measures. They involve blocking the distribution, delivery and collection of shipments, letters, parcels and pallets to Tesla's workplaces in Sweden. This means that, for example, spare parts and components for the workshops will not be delivered. Seko's industrial action starts on 20 November 2023 at 01:00.

The NTF’s Executive Board supports the IF Metall and encourages all NTF affiliates to show solidarity with the strikers.
